STEP 03 · DESIGN

From field picture to in-season playbook.

Diagnose tells you what's there. Design tells you what to apply, when to apply it, with what equipment, at what rate, and what to expect on the yield monitor. Built for your fields, your crop, your operation, and the bottom line you're trying to move.

Three steps to your ultimate home wellness design.

1

Initial Scoping

We walk through your diagnostic findings together, talk through your crop calendar and operation priorities, and define what your design actually needs to cover. What matters first for this season's bottom line.

2

Design Work

Bespoke to your operation. Could be focused fertility recommendations for one problem field. Could be a full multi-year program across chemistry, biology, cover crops, equipment, and certification path. Built for your equipment, your supply chain, your timeline.

3

Consult Visit

We walk through your finished plan together, answer questions, and confirm the path forward. From here you move into Deploy or hand the package to your existing applicator, co-op, or operations team.

Seven categories you can design for.

Pick as many or as few as your goals require. Each can be designed at the level of detail you actually need; from focused recommendations to full infrastructure specs.

Fertility programs that actually pay back

The mineral inputs and timing that move your soil chemistry where your crop needs it. Specific products, banded versus broadcast, application windows, and rate sheets. Built so chemistry changes don't fight your biology, your tillage system, or your tank mix.

Microbial community, soil life

Restoring and supporting the soil biology that drives nutrient cycling, root development, and disease resistance. Inoculants, biological amendments, and compost protocols matched to what your diagnostics showed is missing and to the crop you're trying to grow.

Installs and infrastructure

Water systems, smart irrigation, automated regeneration, compost setups, anything that gets physically installed on your property. Sized, spec'd, and integrated with what's already there.

Varieties, populations, planting plans

Variety selection matched to your soil chemistry and biology. Planting populations and row spacing. Cover crop sequences that don't cost you cash crop yield. Forage mixes built for your stocking rate and grazing system.

Grazing systems, mineral nutrition, animal health

Grazing system design (rotational, mob, or continuous), stocking rate by pasture, mineral supplementation matched to forage chemistry, livestock water infrastructure, manure management as fertility return, and animal health protocols. On mixed operations, integration with the crop side so cover crop grazing, hay program, and manure cycling all work as one system.

Pest, disease, weed management

Pressure management built around your soil health work, so the chemistry and biology doesn't get undercut by the protection program. Compatible with conventional, organic, or transitioning operations. Includes biological controls, cultural practices, and conventional inputs where they fit.

The deliverable — what comes off the field

Yield mapping integration, grain quality targets, forage quality benchmarks, harvest timing, and post-harvest data documentation. ROI math tied to bushels, tons, or hundredweight. The deliverable the rest of the program is built to move.

Edapho design pathways

1

Designed for Edapho to deploy.

We build the plan knowing our team will execute it. Streamlined documentation. Internal sourcing. Equipment, applicator, and timing coordinated by us. You stay focused on running the operation while we handle product procurement, application scheduling, and data collection through the season.

Fits operations where:

  • The operator wants single-vendor accountability
  • Internal capacity is stretched at peak season
  • Speed matters more than equipment ownership
  • A trial year or pilot program is being run
2

Designed for you to deploy.

We build the plan knowing your team, your applicator, or your co-op will execute it. Contractor-ready specs. Product lists with sources and alternatives. Application windows. Rate sheets. We stay engaged for milestone testing and re-test events but day-to-day operations stay with you.

Fits operations where:

  • You have your own applicator or co-op relationship
  • You want full control of inputs and timing
  • Long-term cost control matters most
  • The operation is large enough to justify internal execution

 What's in your Design package.

A real document, designed like everything else we deliver. The exact contents depend on the categories and depth you chose during scoping.

See Design Pricing -->

  • Your Design Document  Deliverable 01

A comprehensive plan built around your diagnostic findings, your operation, and the season ahead. Designed field by field, not assembled from templates.

  • Product Specifications  Deliverable 02

For every category you chose Product Design or above: specific inputs with rates, sources, application windows, and equipment notes. Built for the acreage and zones you actually have, not generic per-acre recommendations.

  • Infrastructure Plans  Deliverable 03

If your design includes Structure: sized equipment specs, install drawings, integration notes, and any permit considerations. Built to be installation-ready by us or by your contractor depending on your path.

  • Application Schedule  Deliverable 04

If your design includes in-season management: month-by-month schedule with application windows, tissue testing checkpoints, sap analysis dates, and adjustment triggers. Built to drop into your existing operation calendar.

  • Implementation Sequence  Deliverable 05

The order things happen in, and why. Pre-plant priorities, in-season decision points, and multi-year transitions — sequenced so each step builds on the one before it and matches your crop calendar.

  • ROI Documentation  Deliverable 06

The bottom-line math. Cost per acre by category, expected yield response, payback timing, and the comparison against what you're spending now. Set up so you can hand it to your banker or share it at the kitchen table.

  • Re-Test & Monitoring Schedule  Deliverable 07

When to re-test, what to measure, what triggers a program adjustment. So you can hold us — or your operators — to the predictions in the plan across every season.

What Comes After

From plan to field.

Once your design is in hand, Deploy is where it becomes real. Our crew installing what you've planned. Our products shipping for you to apply. Your schedule running. Your property changing for the better.
