Delivering Land that Behaves on Purpose

Edapho is a systems engineering firm focused on soil behavior and land function.

A Word From Our Founder

"If humans caused the damage, then by Occam’s Razor, it must be our responsibility to repair it. Nature cannot heal what it did not harm."

Erik Fritz

Founder & Company Director

Our Purpose

We exist to redefine and deliver land function at a standard that has not been seen before, so land behaves consistently under real‑world pressure.

Our Focus

We work where soil failure creates outsized technical and financial risk: agriculture, construction, campuses, infrastructure corridors, public land, and more. We provide custom, integrated solutions that connect field reality, engineering requirements, and long‑term stewardship.

Where We are Going

Over the next decade, our target is simple: make integrated soil practice the default. We pursue that by standardizing land practices through demonstration projects, measurable performance, and clear methods that can be adopted by institutions and capital partners.

Our Values

1. Pursuit of innovation through understanding
2. Combined effort, shared success
Discipline to persevere
Relentless execution
The truth wins

Together, they bridge deep systems thinking with real-world application.

Erik Fritz, Company Director

Erik is a farmer turned systems engineer. He leads Edapho’s scientific direction and Edaphodynamic framework, focusing on soil behavior, constraint diagnosis, and turning complex system dynamics into practical design and management decisions.

Edapho Co-Founder Alexis Ellard

Alexis Ellgard, Strategic Growth Director

Alexis leads strategy and external engagement. She ensures Edapho’s methods move cleanly through institutions, communities, and capital systems without losing technical integrity.

Next Steps

If soil function is limiting your project or community, the first step is understanding why.
